Shipping & Delivery

Fast, reliable delivery from Seattle

We believe shipping should be one of the simplest parts of specifying paint. Our goal is to produce, pack, and move orders quickly and consistently, provide practical delivery options for different project schedules, and communicate clearly whenever an order needs special handling.

Delivery options

Choose the service around the project deadline

UPS provides the clearest range of service levels for project planning. USPS remains available as a lower-cost flat-shipment option when the delivery date is flexible.

UPS Our primary carrier for paint and time-sensitive shipments

UPS carries both eligible flat sample shipments and liquid paint. Ground is the standard option for most orders, with faster service levels available when the project schedule requires them.

3-DayFor projects needing a defined faster service
2-DayFor tighter project schedules

Available UPS services and pricing are calculated at checkout based on the destination, package, and order.
USPS A lower-cost option for eligible flats

USPS is available for certain flat sample shipments when keeping shipping cost down is more important than choosing a defined UPS service level.

USPS transit can vary, so we do not publish or promise a specific delivery timeframe for this option.
Order to delivery

Production time and transit time are different

Paint may need to be tinted, mixed, checked, packed, and labeled before the carrier clock begins. This is especially important for custom colors and larger project orders.

01
Order received

We review the product, size, color, sheen, application, and shipping method.

02
Paint is produced

Standard colors are tinted and prepared. Custom colors, complex finishes, or unusually large quantities can require additional production time.

03
Order is checked and packed

Containers are closed, labeled, and packed for the selected carrier and service level.

04
Carrier pickup

UPS or USPS receives the shipment and the delivery estimate begins to reflect carrier transit.

05
Tracking and delivery

Tracking is emailed so the shipment can be followed through delivery to the project or receiving address.

Expedited orders

A faster carrier does not eliminate production time

When timing is critical, choose the faster service early and tell us the actual project deadline. We can confirm whether the order can be produced in time for the requested carrier pickup.

Next Day Air cutoff: 12:00 p.m. PacificOrders must be complete and placed by the cutoff to guarantee same-day shipment for next-business-day delivery. Weekend, holiday, weather, and destination limitations still apply.
Weather & temperature

Paint and severe weather require some planning

Many of our coatings are water-based and should not be allowed to freeze. Extreme cold, heat, storms, or carrier disruptions can affect the safest shipping method and the delivery estimate.

Freezing conditions

During severe cold we may recommend faster service, adjust timing, or contact you when a route creates a significant freeze risk.

Weather delays

Carrier delivery dates are estimates and can move when storms, road closures, or regional service interruptions occur.

Do not schedule too tightly

For contractor installations, allow enough time to receive and inspect the material before labor is committed.

Inspect immediately

If a shipment arrives frozen, leaking, crushed, or otherwise questionable, photograph it before discarding packaging or using the product.

When something goes wrong

Keep the package and contact us quickly

Carrier problems are uncommon, but the fastest resolution starts with clear photographs, the order number, and the tracking information.

Damaged or leaking shipment

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can review the package and determine the appropriate resolution.

  • Photograph the exterior box before discarding it.
  • Photograph the damaged container and any leaked material.
  • Send the order number and a brief description of the damage.
Tracking has stopped moving

Carrier scans can pause temporarily. If the shipment is beyond its expected delivery window, send us the tracking number and we can help investigate.

  • Check the most recent carrier scan.
  • Confirm the delivery address on the order.
  • Contact us if the shipment appears delayed or lost.
Marked delivered but not found

First check entrances, receiving areas, neighboring units, front desks, and anyone else who may have accepted the package.

  • Review the carrier delivery scan or photograph if provided.
  • Check with building staff or the project receiving contact.
  • Contact us promptly if the package remains missing.
Large & international orders

Some shipments need a different plan

Large quantities, freight, Canada, and other international destinations can involve service restrictions, customs, additional documentation, or destination-specific product limitations.

Large project orders

Parcel or freight?

We may split a project order into multiple parcels or move the shipment by freight when the weight, volume, or container count makes palletized shipping more practical.

Tell us the required-on-site date before ordering.
Confirm whether the receiving address can accept freight.
Let us know about liftgate, appointment, or limited-access requirements.
Trade and commercial teams can contact us for project coordination.

Returns

Shipping problems and returns are handled differently

Untinted products may be returned within 45 days when they are unused, undamaged, and in original condition. Tinted and custom-made paint is produced specifically for the order and is not returnable.

Contact us before sending a return.

We can confirm eligibility, provide instructions, and keep a shipping issue from being confused with a standard return. Defects, transit damage, freezing, or missing shipments should be reported directly rather than sent back without authorization.

Shipping questions

Before the order leaves Seattle

For a fixed project deadline, large volume, freight delivery, or unusual destination, contact us before ordering.

How quickly will my order ship?
Standard orders placed before 2:00 p.m. Pacific typically ship the same business day. Weekend and holiday orders normally move on the next business day. Custom colors, larger quantities, specialty production, or backordered items can require additional time.
How long does UPS Ground take?
UPS Ground typically takes 1–5 business days in the lower 48 after carrier pickup. The exact estimate is calculated for the destination and can still be affected by weather, regional disruptions, or carrier conditions.
How are sample orders shipped?
Eligible flat sample orders can ship by UPS or USPS. UPS provides defined service levels when timing matters; USPS is available as a lower-cost option but does not carry a published delivery-time promise from us. Test Pots, paint, and other liquid products ship by UPS.
When is the Next Day Air cutoff?
Next Day Air orders must be placed by 12:00 p.m. Pacific to guarantee same-day shipment for next-business-day delivery. The order must be complete and production-ready. Weekend, holiday, destination, and weather limitations still apply.
Which carriers do you use?
We use UPS for flats, paint, and specialty-finish shipments, with Ground, 3-Day, 2-Day, and Next Day options available where applicable. USPS is also available for eligible flat shipments as a lower-cost alternative when delivery timing is flexible.
Do you offer free shipping?
Qualifying nationwide orders over $200 receive free standard shipping. Freight, international shipping, special handling, or other nonstandard services may be quoted separately.
Can I ship directly to a jobsite?
Yes. Confirm that someone can receive the shipment and that the address is complete before checkout. For commercial sites, include the company, project, suite, receiving contact, or other information the carrier will need.
Can you hold an order for a future ship date?
Contact us before ordering if the shipment needs to leave on or after a particular date. We can confirm whether a requested hold works with the product, production schedule, and project timing.
What happens during freezing weather?
Because many coatings are water-based, freezing temperatures can create additional shipping risk. We may recommend faster service or adjusted timing. If a package arrives frozen or visibly compromised, keep the packaging, take photographs, and contact us promptly.
What should I do if the package arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours. Keep the packaging and send photographs of the box, label, damaged container, and any leaked material along with the order number. We will review the shipment and determine the appropriate resolution.
What if tracking says delivered but I cannot find the package?
Check all entrances, neighboring units, building staff, receiving areas, and anyone who may have accepted it. Review any carrier delivery photo or scan. If it is still missing, contact us promptly with the order number and tracking information.
Do you ship internationally?
We can ship selected products internationally depending on the destination and product. Customs, tariffs, duties, and taxes are the recipient’s responsibility. Some products and destinations have restrictions, so contact us before placing a complex international order.
Can I pick up my order in Seattle?
Yes, local pickup is available for eligible orders at 2405 10th Ave. East in Seattle. Many product pages display pickup availability directly, and many orders are typically ready within 24 hours.
